Useful Red Bull GP app gives you more than wings

Red Bull has never seemed happy being just a drink company. Whether it is hosting Red Bull Flugtag, sponsoring extreme sports or owning a number of soccer and race teams, the company never seems afraid to put itself out there. Still, I was surprised to be surprised by the free and highly informative Red Bull GP application.

First things first, this is not a racing game. Although it looks and feels like a racing game, Red Bull GP would more likely be categorized as a resource. Red Bull, an Australian energy drink corporation, developed the app for fans of Formula One to follow the Red Bull Racing team.

Unlike many free apps, Red Bull GP is packed full of goodies. It has photos, videos and facts about the race team and its drivers – including Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey. Additionally, it publishes results from Formula One tracks and photos and videos of the team’s three cars. The information and statistics are updated throughout the 2009 season.

Probably the coolest part of the app is its Pitter section, which is the race team’s Twitter feed. Like many Twitter feeds, some of the posts seemed borderline pointless, but fans of the Red Bull race team and its drivers will appreciate this part of the app.

Even someone who is not a Formula One fan will like the features and information Red Bull GP offers. As for fans of the sport, they should absolutely check it out and will not be disappointed.
