When you first launch Wigglehop, you’re asked to enter your city, state or ZIP. Or, if you want a more precise location, it will ask permission to use the phone’s location. Then it will type in your home address, or wherever you are at that moment.
Once that’s set, the app will list for you all of the movie theaters within 20 miles. When you select a movie theater, the app will show you how many times a movie is playing. If you select it again, all the movies that are featured at that movie theater are displayed. It then lets you choose times for the next four days. When you select a time, that time gets saved to your “Plan” page. This is a compilation of all of the movies you want to see, which then is put into order of time left before the show begins.
You can say this app’s best feature is that it’s time-driven. In other words, if you’re set on watching a movie at 8 p.m., then once you do a little work, the app will show you where to go.
At first review, I liked this app, but when I compared it with other movie-listing apps, Wigglehop just didn’t measure up. It’s a great name, very memorable, however this feature-seeking app is quite featureless. It would be nice to see a trailer of the movie, or buy your tickets from within the app. These are just some of the reasons this app only scored two bars.
