New iPhone apps worth downloading: Shoots & Leaves, Picture This by Dandy, Overlive – Zombie Survival RPG

Our first two apps worth downloading today are all about iOS photography. First is Shoots & Leaves, an app that lets you snap photos as reminders, emails, text messages and more, without those photos crowding up your Camera Roll. Second is Picture This by Dandy, a mobile photography scavenger hunt that provides users with prompts to give them something creative to photograph. In the games department, we’ve got Overlive – Zombie Survival RPG, an adventure game with role-playing elements that tasks players with escaping a zombie-infested city.

Looking for even more zombie games? Try these.

Overlive – Zombie Survival RPG ($1.99)

What’s it about? Make choices, explore the city in the zombie apocalypse, and try to escape before a nuclear meltdown wipes out everything in adventure/role-playing game Overlive.

What’s cool? Overlive is a bit of a point-and-click adventure game, and a bit of a role-playing game. Set during the zombie apocalypse, it tasks players with escaping a city before it is totally wiped out, and to do that, you need to manage your time, explore the city around you, gather supplies and other necessities, and fight off the undead. You’ll do things like train your character to raise your stats so you’re more effective in battle, and fight zombies with combinations of tapping and swiping during strategic fights. Your choices are important, because everything you do takes time, and if you don’t manage it well, you won’t make it out of the city when its eventual nuclear destruction happens.

Who’s it for? Players who like role-playing and interactive story titles will find a lot to like about Overlive.

What’s it like? For another great zombie adventure game, definitely get hold of Walking Dead: The Game and Walking Dead: The Game – Season 2.
