Kickin Momma iOS game offers 36 stages of bouncy physics

There’s not much too physics puzzle game Kickin Momma HD. Like Angry Birds, it’s a game were you throw (or kick) living beings across a map in order to hit something. In this case, you’re trying to knock down gems that are stuck hanging in the air.

There are all kinds of other things hanging in the air, too. There are lots of blue balls, for example that the creatures you throw can bounce on, and there are extra bouncy pinball bumpers that really bounce your creatures around.

The goal is to navigate all the bouncy things to knock down the gems, and it is so addictive. The first time I played the game for more than two hours, making my way through the its 36 stages. I rarely get that involved in games on my iPad, but this one had me hooked after about five minutes of playing.

The game isn’t too terribly challenging. You’ll probably pass most of the stages on your first attempt, though depending on how much bouncy stuff you encounter, that first attempt might take a while. But watching your little creatures fly across the screen and bounce off things over and over again seems to be the whole fun of the game, so that’s certainly not a complaint.

There are only 36 stages right now, or two to three hours of entertainment out of the box, assuming you don’t battle for higher scores and work to collect every gem there is in every one of the game’s levels. There’s plenty enough fun to be had, but more levels are on the way, so don’t worry your pretty head too much.

Kickin Momma HD is great entertainment, pure and simple. It’s definitely worth the $2.99 price tag.
