Appolicious and AndroidApps.com profiled in the Wall Street Journal

Appolicious.com is just over a year old and we’ve been growing rapidly. Since our Sept. 1, 2009 launch, we’ve added many features, app reviews and have grown our user ranks quite nicely (thank you!). Recently, we’ve spent a lot of time building content for Android Apps while creating our own Appolicious mobile apps for the iPhone, iPad and Android phones.

So it’s nice when the national media pays attention to our work and our growing community. In today’s Wall Street Journal, Katherine Boehret reviewed Appolicious and one of our worthy competitors, Chomp. She discusses the challenge of finding apps that are right for you, noting how a community of users — that’s you, thanks again! — provide reviews and suggestions on apps others might like. We offer a lot more, of course, creating additional content to help our users find the right apps.

Here’s how Boehret explained it:

“An Appolicious review of the $4.99 FlightTrack app for iPhone and iPad included a YouTube video explaining the app, a scale rating, a list of other Appolicious users who own the app and an Appolicious Advisor review, written by someone who works for Appolicious Inc.”

That’s a lot of stuff about an app. That’s what we do. Thanks for paying attention!
