I haven't tried either of the two you've mentioned so I don't know what features they offer or what you're looking for. However, I do have a free app installed on my phone that you might find useful until someone can answer your question(s).

I've downloaded Star Walk after getting my brother to read the reviews and descriptions of the two apps (he's a relatively serious amateur astronomer, I eventually recalled) and while I agree it's good, it just hasn't excited me the way I thought it might. I'm going to download Pocket Universe and compare them myself, eventually. :)

In the meantime, I'll try the freebie!
