I am interested in learning about apps for education, and most specifically for the iPad. What can you share with me?

Hi baabaasheep115 - a good starting place is to check out the 72+ user-created lists for education: http://www.appolicious.com/curated-apps?curated_term=education

You can also directly ping the educators who have created those lists.

What level of education are you especially interested in - elementary, middle school, high school, college?

I am an educator working with a small development company, Staytoooned. They are dedicated to creating apps that have strong educational value and are highly entertaining. Check out their apps at www.staytoooned.com. The newest one, iTouchiLearn Numbers, has been a big hit with kids. The app store link is http://bit.ly/hcumuX.

If you're looking for something for Preschoolers, I know a new app developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch called Go Go Mongo! You can find it at http://www.gogomongo.com/. iTunes has mentioned them as "New and Noteworthy" and it's now on the Top 20 Educational Games list. Check it out!

Go Go Mongo! is made by a new company called QwikMind. Their whole purpose is to reconstruct the traditional ways of learning and discover new ways to incorporate technology into how kids are learning today. Quite interesting.
