A bunch of free stuff is available for today’s Fresh Apps list. We’ve got the newest thing in social media -- Google Latitude, a persistent location tracker that lets you meet up with (and keep tabs on, to a creepy degree) your friends by seeing where they are all the time. And the other newest thing in social media -- the updated DailyBooth, an app based on photo-sharing that has you taking pictures of yourself with your iPhone or iPad’s front-facing camera. Google Latitude (iPhone) Free

Latitude, Google location-based services app, isn’t just another thing you use to check in at different places. It’s actually a persistent location app that keeps track of you and your friends, wherever you go.

The app allows you to determine your level of privacy on the fly -- you can show your location to anyone, or just your city, or personalize it so that only certain friends get your information. It also tracks your friends on a Google Map in real time so you can see where they are, making meeting up and coordinating super-convenient.

DailyBooth (iPhone, iPad) Free

There’s all kind of social networking going on in apps today -- DailyBooth is one such app, focusing on sharing pictures with friends as status updates. The app makes use of the iPhone 4 and iPad’s front-facing camera to show people what you’re doing continually through the day.

In addition to sharing a lot of photos, DailyBooth includes features like messaging and profile searches to find people and interact with them. Although the app was available in a beta version before now, the whole thing has been rebuilt from top to bottom, with a slicker user interface and more functionality than before.

Mougg (iPhone) Free

Syncing your music to your iPhone or iPad is nice, but iTunes tracks take up quite a bit of of your iOS devices’ internal memory. Mougg helps solve that problem by letting you upload your iTunes library to a cloud server on the Internet, then stream your own tracks on your device wherever you can get access to the Internet.

The Mougg app is a free download, and just for signing up you get a gigabyte of cloud server for free. If you want more space, it’ll cost you, but even the biggest account -- 100GB -- only runs $7.99 a month. Realistically, that’s a ton of music made available in a really convenient way, for pretty cheap.
