Driver (iPhone) Free (was $4.99)
Developer Gameloft is running a great sale for the next 24 days -- a free game every day, released via its Twitter account. Hurry up and grab Driver today, because by tomorrow, it'll be back to $5 again.
As an undercover cop posing as a getaway driver, you'll man the wheel in 40 different missions in this massive driving game. You'll do flips and stunts, as well as skid around corners and perform tight maneuvers, in three different game modes. Grab this one while you can -- and keep an eye here during the month of December for all of GameLoft's other one-day deals.
NukeZen (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)
You’re the last hope of humanity -- nuclear reactors are about to go critical, unless you can get the heat out of their cooling rods in this puzzler. NukeZen’s controls aren’t unlike Bejeweled, and the game asks you to switch hot cooling rods with cold ones in order to isolate the dangerous rods before the whole reactor melts down.
NukeZen is free for at least a few days, and includes eight randomly generated levels of increasing difficulty to keep your brain challenged. It also tracks scores online by country so you can compare your abilities to those of players all over the world.
ManPoints (iPhone) $1.99 (was $4.99)
It might be a cliche that men have to bargain for free time with their significant others, but cliches often have a basis in truth, right? Either way, men who do fit this description have an app in their corner: ManPoints, which tracks your "man points" -- the number of deeds you do versus the amount of you-time you take.
Now you have a convenient piece of evidence in your corner next time you want to prove it should be your turn to pick the movie or control the remote: a list of every time you took out the trash, washed the dishes, cleaned out the cat litter box, and ever went above and beyond the call of duty. Sure, it might not give you the best Karma to do nice things in your relationships just to write them down in an app for later -- but then again, what is getting your significant other to go see John Cena instead of Katherine Heigl worth to you?
