LMK is an app that promises you a quick way to get the information you want all in one place. And with a name like Hearst as the source of the information, you can be assured the information is going to be both entertaining and engaging. Hearst is one of the largest magazine publishers in the world. With 20 popular titles in the U.S., such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, O and Seventeen, and at least 200 titles all over the world at its disposal, Hearst will provide an abundance of information.
The app shows you several categories, such as sports, people and celebrities. Then, lists people in those categories. Celebs like Heidi Klum and sports stars like Derek Jeter are available. Most of the articles are free, with a handful sold for 99 cents. And that's how Hearst makes money. To keep you abreast of what's going on with up-to-the-minute news, you get automatic updates every time a photo or article is posted about the people you're interested in.
I did find some inaccurate information when I reviewed the category listings, as in some of the descriptions didn't match up. For instance, one photo was that of an Arizona Cardinals player, but the text read, St. Louis Cardinals. This happened enough times to make me wonder who was fact-checking the info.
One of the other things I don't like about the app is that once you've selected people to follow, you're stuck with them. I couldn't find a way to delete them. The good news is that if there's an athlete you like, pretty much any info on that person will be relayed to you. That's a nice feature.
