UpTo – Modern Calendar update (Free)
What’s it about? Calendar app UpTo focuses on social aspects, like event planning and schedule sharing, allowing you the capability of seeing what's going on and sharing your own plans with others.
What’s cool? Using calendar apps on your iOS devices is a great way to stay organized, and that's where UpTo starts – you can sync it with your other calendars from Google or Apple to get all your planning in one place. The cool part is that UpTo allows for easy sharing of events and schedules with other people, allowing you to see when you and your friends are busy when planning events and what stuff is coming up that you'll want to attend. You can also share your own schedule with people privately and carefully. The newest update to UpTo brings an updated user interface, all new sharing options for more social interaction, new public event streams and lots more to help you stay engaged and organized.
Who’s it for? If you're a fan of Paltalk or want to meet new people who are united with you by common ground, interests and ideas, you'll want to grab this one.
Deus Ex: The Fall ($6.99)
What’s it about? Sneak through enemy installations, fight bad guys and utilize powerful cybernetic augmentations in Deus Ex: The Fall, a prequel to the popular PC and console game Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
What’s cool? Taking quite a few pages from its traditional video game counterpart, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: The Fall is a first-person shooter that's also a stealth action game and a role-playing title. The series prides itself on providing players with a number of options for solving any given problem or finishing any given level, whether it be sneaking through air ducts, going in guns blazing, or using powerful technologies for some combination of the two. The game continues the story first set forth in Human Revolution (The Fall actually is a sequel to the tie-in novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect), and players will engage in uncovering a deep conspiracy as they fight and sneak through huge environments.
Who’s it for? Fans of the Deus Ex series and anyone looking for a console-quality experience on their mobile devices should grab Deus Ex: The Fall. Just be sure to check your device for compatibility first.
What’s it like? For another game with high-caliber graphics and ties to console game franchise, try Dead Space.
Pacific Rim ($4.99)
What’s it about? Tying in with the summer blockbuster of the same name, Pacific Rim brings players into the battle with the alien Kaiju by allowing them to control huge robots and fight in one-on-one duels.
What’s cool? Pacific Rim will remind you of a lot of dueling games in the iTunes App Store, though none more, of course, than Infinity Blade. It carries a similar one-on-one style of play, in which players controlling giant robots take on huge alien monsters. Just like in other games, you'll first have to dodge, parry or block incoming attacks from the Kaiju monster, and then respond by swiping your screen to deal massive damage when there's an opening in the enemy's defense. Pacific Rim excels with some great-looking graphics and includes a lengthy story campaign that takes you from rookie pilot to veteran across 30 levels.
Who’s it for? If you're into Pacific Rim or would like another graphically-gorgeous look at the dueling genre, Pacific Rim will scratch your itch.
