Stay in face-to-face contact - ideal for sales road warriors

Keeping in touch with your (potential) clients is hard enough today - especially for the road-warriors like us. The richer the communication channel, the better the bonding. That's why I recommend using Skype for iPad: Not only because you can make cheap follow-up phone calls to your clients from almost everywhere. Imagine the effect of a video call: After a real good bonding experience in the first place, there's no reason why not to get in touch personally. Deliver useful follow-up information via Skype Video Conference, and the clients will be thankful for your advice!

When Skype came out on iOS a few years back, it was the killer app that transformed your iPod Touch into a free phone.
So I was a little disappointed the first time I fired it up on my shiny new iPad.

Now that the HD version is out, there's little that meets my eye other than the inconvenience of having to separately update both apps.

The interface feels loose with the lack of features and customization characteristic of indie/beta products; what I need to get *Skype*, full-featured in all it's awesomeness, is switch on my old net-book.

These guys don't like my iPad - even the Linux version may be slightly better so I won't be waiting for a super-awesome update anymore.

Skype's app works perfectly using the iPad 3G. Haven't had a single issue with it!

Great to see a dedicated iPad app for Skype finally. So far, it works really well over Wi-Fi (not been able to try 3G yet).
