I have to admit that I haven't been able to actually use this app and the one big failure that I've found is the reason for my lack of use. I'm sure I'm just missing something but I can't figure out how to get this app to look at cities that I'm NOT in. See the theory behind this app is that you can help to pick your hotel room so you don't wind up in some stinky, old, unrenovated room overlooking the dumpsters when you could easily have taken a room with a city view and new furniture.

But the thing is, for many hotels and many locations, you're going to need to pick a room when you book the hotel, not the day you check in. Today I'm heading to SXSW and it's really unlikely I'll have a choice when I get to my hotel, but if I could have used this app months ago when I booked I might have had this choice.

The bummer about not being able to look at other cities is that I often travel to San Francisco and there's a LOT of variance in room in a single hotel. Enough to make the difference between a good night's sleep and a night spent listening to traffic as if you were sleeping on the street itself.

If they fix this issue we'll be looking at a fabulous app, and certainly being able to use it in the moment is a great feature when you're not travelling to a crowded conference city.
