My world in 3D!

I give GE a 5 stars on the iPad for the suprising and amazing way I can fly around a 3D world by just varing touches. My only complaint is I didn't know what it was capable of for ages, better guidance from the app is needed. Two fingers allow you to move your angle upon the world, one finger zooms in and out. Now I know I can fly through mountain ranges like a bird and zoom out to look at my house from on high. Unbelievable, worth the price of an iPad in itself and its free

This is officially my favorite time-suck. Anyone who's map obsessed (raises hand), will LOVE this. It's like spinning a globe, on your iPad, with all the functionality of using Google Maps.

Gorgeous.

Incredible Way to See the World!

As with on the computer, Google Earth for the iPhone and iPad is amazing. You can look up all your childhood homes and faraway destinations. The only thing I find missing is the street view, but still, this app packs a lot of punch!

Earthy

Likely you know what Google Earth is. If you don't, google your address and feel instantaneously spied upon. Well, and then too spy on your neighbors or use it to see what that shop front looks like before heading out to shop. From there spy all around the world.

Most likely however you know already know well enough what Google Earth is and then too you'll know if you want it on your phone. For me, I just really don't use google earth that much though I love the idea.

There's certainly nothing wrong or seriously missing from this app so if you love Google Earth, get this app. If you don't love it already you may find a better app for the space on your phone.

I never used it before the iPad app was available, but I've now traveled the seven wonders of the world with it. Just last night I was in Egypt, Nepal and Paris. The images are amazing and it's so much fun to watch it go from viewing the Earth from space, to zooming in on the parking lot of your apartment building.

Google Earth is an incredible tool and feature, and it's now finally ready for the iPad. It allows you the same features that the iPhone and computer versions do, but now it's on your iPad!

The images are incredible and it will even pinpoint your exact location on the app!

Ok If you have this for pc- you already know what this is- Its the same thing! -which= AWESOMENESS! A must have for any iphone owner. If you don't have it for your pc/mac, then you need it- its free and super useful. I've spent several hours, showing friends where i've been- and researching places id like to go. If you never heard of this, then heres the breakdown: its like google maps but 1000x better. Its in complete 3d! see anywhere on the globe (satellite imagery with street and places overlaying the graphics) you can look in and around anywhere. best part is i'd pay for this app if it wasn't free but it is! do youreself a favor and get it.

Close to a perfect mapping app. Make sure you've got a good WiFi signal and you can lose a lot of time with this app -- highly recommended.

Everyone knows Google Earth, and this is a great implementation of it. Works just like you would expect it to, and has some interesting tie-ins with the iPhone and geolocation/photos. Grab your KMZs and head out the door! I can't wait to use it if I ever travel overseas.

It's free. What's to complain about? Still...

Google Earth is awsome on the desktop... but I just don't get a smooth interactive experience on my iPhone. I think the amount of data required to make it fly, combined with the processing needs to swoop from point to point, make the mobile version less compelling to me.
