FlightTrack Pro is a nice companion for anyone who travels a lot for their job. It beats having to call to confirm flight times/delays.

Get live flight status and be the first to know if your flight is delayed and which gate it's at. I travel constantly and this app is a must.
Total travel essential. Find out if your flight is delayed and what gate it's leaving from. Never wait in line behind harried travellers waiting to ask a harried agent about your flight delay ever again.
Flight Track Pro offers some great features and a well-designed interface. It is definitely worth the 10 bucks if you travel more than thrice a year. (I just wrote the word thrice. If I write it again it will be thrice written in one review! OMG, it is!)
Among the many features, there are a few standouts. First of all, you can save flights and keep track of them easily. I found the information to be complete and accurate. Being able to tell the cab driver exactly what terminal to drive to saved my ass last week. Also, I love that when you add a flight to your list, you can search to see what's available very quickly. I might start using this to plan flights and then go online to book!
You can also send your flight plans to a Tripit email address, without having to subscribe, and the app enters the info and performs the search for you. Cool. Interconnectedness in action!
The app shows us the FAA announcements concerning the flights, weather information, and local times, temperatures, flight numbers, airport codes... just about everything I can think of that one would need when rushing to catch a flight.
It's also easy to share the info. with a quick press on a button; via Twitter, Facebook, email, or SMS.
You can synch the app with your calendars.
The flight data comes from FlightStats and FareCompare and seems to be good. There were a couple of occasions where I sat on the tarmac while we all waited for a valve to be fixed (always reassuring - not! - yeah, I'm talking to you Virgin!) and the app reported that I was en route; had left the gate 10 minutes after scheduled. But, you know what? Anyone picking me up on the other end would not have been affected. It turned out that we were only 10 minutes late to arrive, although we waited on the runways for an hour and a half! How did the app know that!? Very cool.
So, why only 4 bars? To push the developers to do even more and make it faster, better, stronger, harder!!! I know they're waiting with baited breath to see what Appolicious says about them... Also, for 10 dollars american, I wanna be wowed a bit more. The app would get 5 bars if it cost 5 dollars.
Enough said. Now I gotta catch a flight!
My mother just asked me "Do you think your sister got on her flight yet?" So luckily I had FlightTrack Pro installed on my iPhone, and I whipped it out, entered the airline and flight number, and *voila*, found out that her flight had just left 5 minutes before (17 minutes late) from gate C84, en route to Houston. Even better, I clicked on "Map" and then could see the arc of her flight route, speeding away from EWR toward the skies above Pennsylvania. Cool cool cool. You can even shake to track a random flight, which is not particularly useful - but you can also find all the flights that travel a particular route from Airport A to Airport B - which is great if you're stuck at an airport and need to reschedule flights on the fly.
