Great chat app

I use this one everyday. It's great that it supports so many different messaging platforms. I do wish it did not pass along the aolsystemmsg that I am signed into Instant Messenger in another location (my laptop.) But I suppose that is a very small issue. Otherwise the app works great. I can enter multiple accounts, set favorite buddies, carry on with multiple chats at once. Definitely can recommend.

Surprisingly worth the bucks

As a 10 dollar app, this is the Rolls Royce of IM apps and is not for the faint of heart. Compatible with virtually all IM formats you can also share video and photos in your chats. And now push makes more sense (sort of) to plunk down your money for this app.

The best iOS IM app

This doesn't have all the features of other IM apps, notably IM+, but I use this because of how little time it takes to reconnect when opening the app. All of the other take noticeably longer. Beejive gets the job done.

Good but not great

BeejiveIM was the first app I bought when I got my iPhone. As a former Blackberry addict, I was used to having Gchat in my hand at all times and I went through withdrawal when I switched to the iPhone.

I was hesitant about the cost, but it supports push notifications and runs in the background of the iPhone, which the Google gchat app doesn't do. It was good for a while, but I started to get fed up with the delay and bugs the app experienced and switched to Meebo.

The nice thing is that BeejiveIM allows you to link multiple chat applications, from gchat to AIM to ICQ and more. If you're one of those on multiple accounts, this is super convenient.

Highly recommended

Love the fact that it allows different online statuses across different platforms. And it's not announcing to the world that you're on a mobile / iPhone.

Love this. It covers all my chat clients, keeps me signed in constantly, allows me to receive messages instantly whether I'm in the app or not.

I like this app, particularly because it keeps me logged in for so long. Other apps log you out after An hour. What is te point?

I can't imagine using anything else

Ten bucks is alot to pay for an instant messaging app. In fact, I think I may have consumed a couple of wobbly pops (i.e. beers) before I clicked the Install button on my iPhone that night. The important thing is that I don't regret it. I can safely say that it is highly unlikely I'll ever bother with another IM app again.
BeeJive puts all my clients in one place: AIM (my U.S. friends), MSN (my Canadian friends), ICQ (oh, those crazy Russian spammers), Facebook (I don't even log in anymore!), Yahoo! (I think I have two buddies there) and Google Talk (I really should use that one more). One setup for each client and then all I have to do is click on the app. It lets me know if I get logged out, I can keep it running 24/7 and never miss a thing, I can even set up a Favorites list for frequently-contacted pals.
My only complaint is an AIM-related one: I can't figure out how to stop AIM from notifying me that I'm signed in on more than one PC and so I get several of those notifications on my iPhone (and on my PCs, of course) every day as I move from home to work and back home again. Total pain in the butt, but not a BeeJive problem. I just hate seeing the indicator for new messages on my phone when I know that the messages are just those stupid AIM things.
Ultimately, though, BeeJive is worth the ten bucks. I've used other apps but only this one lets me access every chat account I have.

BeejiveIM with Push is an amazing app for any person that wants to keep in touch. I am able to keep in contact with family members I don't see very often and the best part? I don't have to continually have the app open to be able to use it. The push feature gives you the ability to keep going about your business and know when someone writes back. I recommend this app and hope you get as much joy as I do.

This is probably the best, if not one of the best, multi-IM app available on the iPhone today.
