Ok Teachers, an entire workshop can be built just around this one app! Animoto is a free app where you and your students can make 30 second videos using downloaded pictures and music.

You definitely need Internet access for this app because when students are done making their videos, the links to the videos get emailed to you.

Teachers will have to enter their DD2 email addresses so that there is a place to send the videos.

Animoto is an absolutely amazing product that makes it really easy to create professional-looking video slideshows. This Animoto iPhone app is even more fantastic because now you can create video slideshows when you are away from your desktop. All you have to do is select photos from your phone's photo library, select music, and voila - video slideshow is created. You can then share your new Animoto video via email, Twitter, Facebook, and other sites. The only thing I'd love to see in a future Animoto app release is the ability to share videos to YouTube which at present, is not an option. But that is not that big of a deal, I think, when you consider how incredible it is to be able to create such sophisticated video slideshows all from your mobile phone. Animoto rocks.

Someone introduced this app to me and I really like it. It's great how you can make mini-music videos from your photo gallery. Just wish they had a better music selection!
