Great for Podcast Listeners

If you're a huge radio listener or love podcasts (or better yet both) this app is for you. And, well, if you're not, it's probably not going to turn you into one.

When you first launch the app it gives you the choice of 12 areas to choose podcasts and radios shows from... things like religion and spirituality, business, technology, government, etc etc. But what you might have figured out is those are very broad subject fields. I may be interested in spirituality but might not want to hear a sermon, or vice versa!

Likely this app serves those who know what they want much better than it serves those looking to find content in general areas. And for those who already know the catalog will allow you to find what you're looking for without a ton of hassle. Better yet if you really know, use the Search feature.

Again, this could easily be a perfect app for those who either listen to the radio or have a few podcasts they want to hear regularly. If not use the catalog to set up some podcasts to try rather than using the subject groups it sets up for you.

An Audiophile's Dream

Just seeing a video introduction of this app drove me crazy! The idea that there is a way for me to listen to all my podcasts, discover new ones, and have news read to me (all without downloading it to my iPhone) is such a space saver.
Although the news stories are read a bit dry, it is better than the sensationalized news on tv and the radio. Almost as good as the NPR apps/news when it comes to unbiased news from good sources.
The best part, for me at least, is the ability to listen to and get exposed to new podcasts without storing them on my device. For my first go at being an iPhone owner, I decided to go with an 8gig model and although I love it, there is not enough room for all the things I want. All the podcasts I listen to would immediately fill up my device, but to stream them and create a playlist is great. I don't have to fiddle with my phone so much, I can just coast through my day and let it play.
Hopefully everyone reading this will give it a try, and join me listening to news podcasts while I make breakfast.

Coffee anyone?
