A Twist on FourSquare

It's hard not to compare Gowalla to FourSquare. FourSquare is more popular, but it has nothing on Gowalla for graphics and user interface, especially on the iPad!
The "stamps" that are used for locations are simply amazing graphics and give a really interesting polished finish to the interface.
Bonus items (which are handed out at random) add another twist with more of a gaming feel. Still new to the app, but liking what I see so far.

Liking Foursquare better

I'm liking Foursquare better as a mobile location based service app. Although Foursquare doesn't have an iPad app out yet. Not many of my friends are using goWalla, so that's a downside, and features are at a minimum, like searching for locations. Still I do like how goWalla graphically shows where friends are if they allow their location data to be public.
