So far, the best app I've come across...

Oh, and it DOES have 3G connectivity. I've seen a film in a bus ride, and with a wonderful quality (both sound a video).

No Need for a Bigger iPad

This app has made the question that some people have about what size iPad to get a lot easier. I have a 16gb and I will say I did feel limited for a little while until I found this app. I have the wifi model so the no 3G support does not make a difference to me. This app gets the job done the only problem I can see is there is no search function, or I have not been able to find it. If you have a large movie library like I do it can get old scrolling through 700 plus movies to find the one you want but, at least you have that option.

I do want to add that you will need a fairly good home PC or Mac if you want to have a great experience with this app. The live conversion is done on you home computer and streamed to your iPad etc. The better the computer the better your video quality and streaming while converting with be. The app does have a convert option without streaming, if you want to pre convert a video before watching it. I have the require equipment to have the best experience possible so that is why I have given the app a 5.

This app is amazing. I frequently dowload videos in many different formats. Before I had to convert the videos and sync with iTunes to watch them. With Air Video I just select the video I want to watch and the app converts and streams it live. I have the videos on my Mac Mini and they stream to my iPod Touch. Even works when you are away from home. You do need a pretty good computer to convert the video and a decent connection to stream it.
