Camera Awesome has a ton of amazing features and has replaced the default Apple camera on my "home screen".
Only downside is that the quick access from the lock screen still pull up the default Apple camera, but that's Apple's fault.
I downloaded Camera Awesome because I find the native camera on the iPhone (4) extremely frustrating. Maybe it's just because of my shaky hands, but unless the lighting is perfect, I more often than not ended up with blurry pictures. Because of this, I particularly love Camera Awesome's image stabilization feature. The "big button" and timer are also excellent because it largely takes away the constraints of the native camera app, namely how difficult it can be to press that one tiny button and a lack of timer. There's a lot of additional features/ filters but I really haven't explored this as much because I find photo-editing slows down the app performance. There are a TON of options and filters but I'm more overwhelmed than impressed by these. Overall though, this is definitely a significant improvement on the native camera app, even if you don't end up using all the functionality.
This camera is awesome. Not only do I love all of the effects such as vibrance, texture and awesomeize, but you can also export directly into your photo library.
I wasn't hoping for much when I downloaded "yet another camera app replacement," but this is simply great. If you're photographer, you'll appreciate features like being able to set exposure separate from focus and the many editing features. A
I love Camera Awesome. It's free, comes with a level, and the awesomize button makes all my photos pop. Everyone should own this app, seriously.
