FOX Sports Mobile covers all the bases when reporting scores and information for major sports. But if you're a fan of international soccer, golf, tennis or boxing, you will find this app pretty limited.

Baseball fans will love FOX Sports Mobile, and the free app is a worthy competitor to MLB.com’s At Bat Lite. Also, it does pretty well covering football, providing detailed information and live game coverage.

Otherwise, this app is more notable for what's missing. Users can't track their favorite teams, forcing fans to touch through the options to find the personalized info so many other sports apps offer.

Despite the increase in golf popularity over the past decade, largely because of the success of Tiger Woods, FOX Sports Mobile fails to acknowledge the sport beyond news events. Fans do not have the option to look at upcoming or past tournaments.

The app provides more coverage to the less popular WNBA than it does soccer. This sports app doesn’t track the European soccer leagues, a surprise because Fox covers the sport thoroughly on other platforms.

If you only like the major sports, this app will do the job. But if your tastes go beyond the mainstream, look elsewhere.
