Oleboo combines America's two favorite pastimes, sports and social networking, adds a pinch of sports shouting like you'd find on a midday ESPN show, and leaves users with a very interesting app.

Oleboo's entire concept is contained in its name. Users who sign up for free (using their Facebook accounts) can "Ole" a team during a sporting event taking place live, meaning they're cheering for that team, or they can "Boo" a team during that sporting event.

Each time you "Ole" or "Boo" a team, you receive points, just like you do on apps like Foursquare, that translate into medals you can earn to get more status within the Oleboo universe.

Thankfully that's not quite all there is to the app, as users are encouraged to leave actual messages with their cheers and jeers, and thus the possibility exists for lively sports conversation. That it links to your Facebook creates an even greater chance you could make a connection with another sports fan. Or totally creep them. It's a world of possibilities with Oleboo!

Unfortunately, the app doesn't let you start playing until the game you want to talk about is actually active. So you can't engage in any pre-game smacktalk. This probably has to do with the medal system that rewards you for multiple comments during a game, but it would be nice to incorporate pre-gaming in some respect. If the concept of checking in to a sporting event to yell at other people excites you, Oleboo is just about perfect.

If you're not a Foursquare fan and already a bit burned out by social networking, you can probably just "Boo" this app and move along.
