Sportacular has been my go-to sports app for three years, now, because it loads relatively quick and has every score for every sport. I can add teams to my favorites, too, so that's a plus.

Yahoo made this app even better

I've had this app for a couple of years now. I liked it when I first got it but now it's fantastic! When Yahoo bought it they really ramped up the features with full statistics for every game. Now they've even added game odds before games start. It's polished, has never quit on me and does everything I downloaded it to do and now even more!

Never Miss Another Game

This app gets a lot of use during football season, especially now that I'm no longer in Chicago. Who would think that California didn't care about the Bears? I don't really have any complaints about it. It loads quickly and gives me enough information that I don't feel like I'm missing out on the game just because I'm not near a TV or radio. I can see where the ball is on the field, the score, the time left, and predicted scores.

Let me tell you why it gets 5 bars.

Less popular sports (NHL, MLS, dare I say PGA, and lets not forget German Bundesliga) and more obscure popular sports teams. Plop that on top of your main stream and expected info (NFL, NBA, etc.).

As a for instance, Old Dominion University (ODU) is starting a football program this year. This means they don't even belong a conference this year. On top of that, they won't be in a Division-1A (or BCS, or FBS) conference when they get out of this year - they are looking for Division-1AA (or FCS, or D-1AA). It's hard to find D-1AA scores anywhere, let alone a school that isn't even in a division. Yet this app files that under 'Independents 1-AA'. Got an app that gives you real time info for those games for free in a format this is easily followed, and allows you to see play by play and interactive chat, and a feature to see the user picks?! I thought not!

Better still is the ability to set-up push-alerts. Not to be harping on American football, but that is the only aspect in which I've used these alerts so far. You can receive push alerts for pre-game, game start, game end, score changes, and end of quarters to keep you informed of scores! That's mighty handy when I am busy elsewhere on a weekend or even watching another game.

I haven't scraped the surface mainly because I don't have the time - but there is a Fantasy Football tab under options, individual player updates, ability to create a profile, ability to chat within a specific game with other users, and so on...

If you are looking for an easy to use sports app with plenty of features, I say give this one a try.

*Why it shouldn't get 5 bars - Football is played primarily on the weekends, and I believe with all the concurrent games and users, this bogs the servers down. The app is supposed to auto-update every 30 seconds, but it can be frustrating minutes between updates during these peak periods. For me, the capabilities still outweigh these delays, and I can't mark it down for that!

I'm a big fan

Sportacular does a nice job giving the scores. I love the standings tab, very useful, but i can't figure out how to set my favorite teams so i don't have to scroll through all the scores.
