APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

5 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: Sort deals by store or category or just search for what you’re looking for.
  • BUMMER: Some sort of way to compare deals on similar products would be interesting.
  • COOL: You can save deals to look at them later quickly and easily.

TGI Black Friday has officially taken all of the fun out of Black Friday. The standing in line at all hours, the rustling through hundreds of pages of ads after dinner on Thanksgiving to see what’s available, even the fight in the aisles with the total stranger who is trying to steal the gift that’s rightfully yours.

Okay, maybe it’s removed all of the hassle out of the craziest shopping day of the year, but the fun remains, and TGI Black Friday is a very fun app to use for the serious shopper.

TGI Black Friday organizes all of the available Black Friday sales into easy-to-find categories. You can find deals by store or item category, or you can simply browse the latest deals that have popped into the app. If none of those ideas suit you, you can do a search for exactly what you’re looking.

Once you’ve found the deals of your dreams you can add them to your virtual shopping list so that you can keep track of all of the deal you’re monitoring. TGI Black Friday also lets you share sale info with your friends and go directly to the online store to buy the item you’re eyeing.

About the only thing it doesn’t do, unfortunately, is let you compare deals. If Best Buy has that Samsung TV you’ve found at Sears.com for a better price, you won’t know it unless you check both stores in the app. It’s a little thing, but it could be the difference between saving an extra few bucks or not.

Minor issues aside, if you’re into Black Friday shopping, TGI Black Friday needs to be in your app collection as soon as possible.
