Addicted to Nonfat WM

I am completely addicted. I used to get a nonfat white mocha on Friday's to celebrate the end of the week. Now I am so addicted I have to have a nonfat white mocha at least 3-4 days a week. This app is so great, because it allows me to budget my addiction. I can load my Starbucks allowance on to the app once a month and ration it out so I can stay on budget while being able to enjoy my favorite drink.

I'm in love with how easy this app is to use! My regular barista recommended I download it and I couldnt be happier. The funtionality of this app is incredible. I love being able to order and pay right from the app.
Thank you Starbucks for making like even smoother!

The Official app from Starbucks. Find locations (including the ones with drive-throughs!), learn about the coffees, create your own drinks, and see nutrition info.

Company App for Fans

If you don't like Starbucks, this app might help you learn to love it, but it won't be for everybody.
Store locations and information including contact info and operating hours, build your own drinks (hot and cold) which teaches you how to order coffee the Starbucks way, information on all the different coffees they offer and the different types of food they serve, and the newest tab added, Jobs.

If any of this is at all interesting to you or if you are even a casual fan of Starbucks, give the app a try. Otherwise, you should probably steer clear.

I don't really see the point

Other than finding the closest Starbucks in the area, I'm not really sure what the point of the app is.

I can build my own drink? Okay, but I don't really see the value in it.

I give Starbucks credit for being on the forefront of the iPhone app world, but they need to come up with more incentive than making my own drink.

Great for coffee n00bs!

Anyone who has been going to Starbucks regularly won't use many of its features (since they probably have their drink menu memorized.) But to a n00b like me, this is great because I'm still discovering the wonderful world of coffee. After launching the app, by default you'll fall on the map so you can find all of the Starbucks in your area. You can also build your own drink, search through all of their coffee blends and even look through the different food options they offer. It's a pretty helpful app that's quick and easy to use.

It doesn't make the coffee better but...

I’m not going to lie to you, I’m not the biggest Starbucks fan. I don’t love their coffee and would easily opt for a local place most of the time. That said, there are plenty of places where Starbucks is the best thing around. And for that reason I’ll give this app 4 bars.

I got this app while driving from Portland back to my hometown of Seattle on Thanksgiving, and right here you probably get why this app is so good. I’m not going to find that one local coffee shop that’s open on a major holiday in a town I don’t know, but with this app I can still find some coffee, and when making the long holiday haul that‘s worth it‘s weight in gold. And even better I can also find out the nutritional information on that piece of coffee cake I just got, or better yet, figure out what I want to eat based on nutritional information before I get something. Of course you can also find out about any drink Starbucks has, and like their website, you can customize that drink’s nutritional information to match what you really ordered. So if you got a tall, single shot mocha with nonfat milk and whipped cream you can actually get a fairly accurate read on what you just consumed (so no cheating with that whip!). The disclaimer states that the nutrition information may not reflect your customizations but thus far it seems to track that vanilla syrup and nonfat milk (and whip, and even chocolate sprinkles) pretty well. I’d guess you wouldn’t want to bet your caloric life on this information, but it’s certainly closer then I’d guess.

So while this app won’t make me love Starbucks coffee it will keep me happy when I’m in a place I don’t know, or just needing that one little bit of vanilla cappuccino love before I see the relatives again.

Where's your java, and what's in it?

I'm still exploring this app, but the two features I like best are: 1) the map of your nearest Starbucks, and b)the nutrition info. If you're between meetings, it's handy to know how far you'll have to hoof it for a good cup o' joe. For calorie-counters, it may be an eye-opener to learn how hard you'll have to run to burn off that Venti-sized whatever you're about to order.

If you find it, you can go!

If you live in a major city, this app may seem pointless, since there is a Starbucks on every other corner. If you don't or if you, like my wife and I, take long road trips because we can't afford to fly because we spend too much on Venti soy lattes, then this little app will become your best friend. Need a little pick-me-up after stopping for lunch in Springfield on the way to St. Louis? No problem! Tap-tap-tap, hey there's a Starbucks just two blocks off the road that goes back to the Interstate! Priceless!
