LivingSocial, much like Groupon, introduces you to new things to do or place to go/eat in your city while offering you a sweet discount. One of the perks of buying a deal from your phone is quick access to your friends. If you get three of your friends to buy the same deal, then you’ll get yours for free. The app also has a map so you can see if you’ve purchased any deals nearby while you’re out and about.

This is a polished looking app, but my gripe is it doesn't list all the deals in your town, just the daily deal and escape packages. I am a big fan of Living Social and I hope they add more to their app!

With the boom of Groupon and other coupon sites, this is an awesome addition.

I LOVE this website, and having the app just ensures I never miss a deal. You get instant access to today's deal with the option to buy, as well as access to your account to see current and past deals you've already purchased.

It allows you to see multiple cities on the home screen, so if you're in one place and perhaps traveling to another it's easy to see both deals.

I wasn't really sure why I'd want this app. After all I get the living social deals in my email and I was certain I wouldn't remember to check an app every day to see the deals. But in reality that isn't the point.

The true usefulness of this app is that you can easily pull up a deal you've already purchased and use it right then, without that print out you left at home, or better yet, without even printing out the deal. Paper saved.

The app also lets you see cities that are closer to you so you can decide if you want a deal in another area. With how much I travel to Portland and some upcoming trips to California this feature is very useful.
