Games App User Reviews

My favourite iPhone game

The guys at half brick really did a great job with Jet Pack Joyride and they keep releasing free updates! Definitely has the best elements of a quick to play randomly generated levels type of game.

Personalize Springfield

Of course, since this is a Farmville-esque simulation game, it takes WAY too long to process actions/challenges. And naturally all the cool stuff (like building the donut shops) costs too much. However, it's mindless fun.

addicting

I freakin love the pinata chainsaw!!
I love how, instead of blood, pinata bits come out of the zombies. Very cool! I haven't been this addicted to a game since plants vs. zombies! BRAVO!!!!

Cute game . . . in a zombie killing kinda way.

The art work looks really good, and I love the pinata chain saw! Its so pretty. My absolute favorite mode is INFINISAW. I have the highest score as of today (97,900). I wish there was a little more background music during the chainsaw throwing, but thats about it. Oh and as far as difficulty goes . . . there are some levels where an A rating is easy to get. However, there are also other levels where a C ratings is the best I can get. Overall I would give the game a B rating in difficulty.

The Marching Dead

Woo hoo! Another zombie game! At least Tread of the Dead adds tilt controls, which complicates the strategy quite a bit.

Stop the Invaders

Another epic platform game from Ravenous Games. So flippin' good!

Chop Some Wood

I how Jack Lumber adds more difficulty to the slice game genre. If only they had the rights to the "Lumber Jack Song" by Monty Python for in-game music...

Can You Dig It?

A colorful and unique "endless digger" that packs in the charm one expects from an Adult Swim title. Fun times!

Helpful

When I play video games on my PS3, I try to avoid walkthroughs. GameFront's app is extremely helpful for anyone who is a completionist, but I prefer beating games on my own.

Jacob Has Dysentery or He's A Zombie

Usually I would lament yet ANOTHER zombie game. But taking the classic (yet tired) Oregon Trail and adding zombies just makes sense.

We didn't like as much as we hoped.

The kids had to earn this one because it's not "educational" etc...house rules....regardless, they both said it wasn't worth it and went back to a couple educational ones for their one hour screen time/day (guess I should be happy:))

Line Drawing!

It's been a long time since I've seen a line-drawing game with a fresh perspective. Plight of the Zombie puts you in the shoes of the undead, where your goal is to just get some grub. Love it!

Fun app but expected more for $8

I love the mission soundtracks, they are incredibly entertaining to listen to while running and I even found myself pushing a little harder to stay out of reach of the horde of drooling zombies on my trail.

However, the mini-game leaves a lot to be desired. As you run you collect supplies, ammunition, food, zombie repellant, etc.

Cool! After I ran a few miles and collected all these supplies I was disappointed to learn that the entire mini game consisted of dragging and dropping these supplies on to various buildings in my Post-apocalypse zombie town. As you go on more runs and collect deliver more supplies to your town the size of the buildings grows and your population increases. And....that's it.....

I guess I was expecting a little more substance to the mini-game as an added incentive to my run. I'm not sure it would've needed to be much more complex, maybe just a little more sim city like where you gather supplies and then build the buildings yourself and watch as hordes of zombies are mowed down outside of the bunker you created.

Great game to challenge friends and family

I love this app and this was one of the first apps I downloaded on my iPad and iTouch. Its the same rules as Scrabble but you play through your device and can choose opponents that you know by selecting their screen names or choose a random player. I think its most fun to play people you know and I definitely recommend this app! There's a couple glitches and sometimes the screen freezes but besides that it is fun to play.

Great on Kindle Fire

I've been using this game on the Kindle Fire for the past couple weeks and it has been really great. It imported my contacts from my email so I can send game invites to my friends very quickly. I would recommend this as a nice evening activity with friends. The free version takes you to an ad screen periodically after your turn, but nothing too out of the way.

Sneaky Runner

I love third-person running games. I used to play Temple Run a lot, but my new runner-of-choice is Agent Dash. It features fun characters and colorful environments.

First Person Militance

At first I was definitely a skeptic. I didn't think first-person tower defense was possible on the iPhone. I was wrong. Commando Jack shakes up a tired (and pretty darn repetitive genre) by adding a new, optional camera vantage point. Plus, the graphics are stellar!

Nostalgia Rules!

Kid Vector's graphics are all sorts of out-of-control. I love it! This game is a throwback to retro platformers, yet adds its own spin to the genre. Only 15 levels, but I bet dollars to donut-holes that the developers will add some more eventually. Also, heck of a soundtrack!

Battle Royale

Usually I wouldn't rate one of these freemium simulation games so high, but I just downloaded this game for my nephew. He absolutely loves it. Of course adult supervision is necessary to make sure kids don't make tons of in-app purchases. It reminds me of Pokemon, but cuter!

Truck Driving!

Offroad Legends is a fun racing game where you can fully customize monster trucks. Recommend it for anyone into action racing games!
