One of the best apps - period. Super fast, easily readable. Fantastic. If you enjoy keeping pace with world news from the French perspective, this is a must have.

You enjoy NPR? You also want to find out
what's happening in music today? GET THIS APP! Listen to "Morning Becomes Eclectic" for a smorgasbord of sounds soothing and unexpected. Rock out with Anne Litt on the weekends. Get schooled by Nic Harcourt. Listen to some of the most progressive grooves around with Garth Trinidad. Stay informed with the News Channel. Catch what you missed with OnDemand programs.

Trust me! It'll be the best $0.99 cents you ever spent. Combined with the Pandora & Last.fm apps, you may never listen to your iPod again. Enjoy!

Love the Apple TV control pad

This is the way more remote controls should function. So far, it's the app I use the most over the weekend to control my iTunes/Apple TV libraries.

Tower defense at its best!

I love tower defense games. The free version of geoDefense has great screen dynamics, simple yet captivating graphics. I've never had this much fun playing a tower defense game, with maybe the exception of CRYSTAL DEFENDERS. During geoDefense, you're screen transforms into an array of neon colors and firework animation. It mixes old school feel (thing Galaga or Space Invaders or Pac-Man) with sharper images.

I will most certainly upgrade to the full version, which will probably get a 5 out of 5 from this game enthusiast.

If Chicago wins the 2016 Olympics,

one hopes the organizers offers an app far more compelling than Countdown to the Decision. It offers no news on the Olympic decision, no renderings of how Chicago will transform if it wins and no way to gauge or encourage public sentiment. It offers a silly Olympic fact each day on a simple page that counts down the days until a decision is made on which city gets the 2016 Olympics. Personally, I want Chicago to get the Olympics so I'm very disappointed with this effort from the city's Olympic organizers.

Well done Evernote, well done.

The built in Notes ap a little weak for you?

Yeah me too, that’s where evernote comes in and shakes things up! Evernote is a full roundtrip note system that keeps your notes synchronized from the Desktop, to the web, to your iPhone or iPod Touch. Make a note on the desktop app (Mac & Windows) save it open Evernote on your iPhone and magically it’s there! Your notes are also on the web version. You can even make voice notes, use the camera on your iPhone to make a visual note and much more. This is what the built in Notes app should have been from the start.

I highly recommend this wonderful app and best of all it’s free!

A revolution of a version jump. It's possible I like the FB iPhone app more than the web interface now. Really extremely well executed.

Classic Classic Classic

This is one of those games I grew up on and fell in love with as a kid. The controls were a little hard for me and I would get a little frustrated when my block turned when I didn't want it to, but overall, it's a fun game and a great time killer.

For the control freak in you

You can do anything to your little islanders. Fry them, drown them, and cause hurricanes and tsunamis at the touch of a finger. You are the god. Regular free updates (25 to date!) keep the game fresh and and allows you to do even more kind and cruel things to the little pygmies.

I especially liked the Ooga Jump minion that allows you to make the pygmies jump on clouds. The latest update is pretty sweet too. You have sharks with lasers on their heads to fry the little islanders and the fun continues almost every week. It's definitely worth checking out!

As an educated Chicago Packer fan, I have to support this app

It has a cool look, but it's just a one-purpose tool. If you frequently use a calculator on your mobile device and are educated about football like myself, it's worth a download (since it's free).

Gift guide is handy, but very limited

  • App review for Target
  • Posted by MorganKay September 03, 2009

Target's app is an innovative way to assist shoppers, but it's not extensive enough to be valuable. The most handy feature is probably the store locator because the gift suggestions listed in this app are limited. I love Target and I think they could do more with this.

My go-to mobile app for Twitter!

While there are several Twitter iPhone apps out there, only TweetDeck allows you to maintain columns of search streams. This makes it more useful than the others in that I instantly get to see who's tweetin' what on any given topic I've searched. Still needs some interface tweaks, but well worth the FREE price!

Funky electronic fun!

This is a truly inspired app! If you understand the basics of musical scales, and like doodling with sound, this app is for you. Don't let the price put you off, it does a whole lot and should be charging a lot more. Be sure to check out the demo videos on YouTube for this app!

Voice Search defines this app

... but you'd better be in a relatively quiet area speaking clearly; like alone in your car!

There's hardly a day goes by that I don't turn to Google Mobile to get some information. I think it's a very smartly put together app, but what else would you expect from Google. It would be nice to see some integration with this app and Google Maps.
