iPhone and iPad App User Reviews

E! Online has never left my homescreen.

Much better than the already iPhone-friendly website, E! Online offers celebrity and entertainment news, photographs, and video clips of their original shows. The application itself runs like a dream, with high quality graphics and video, and loads quickly even on the Edge network. They update their stories often, so you're sure to know the latest on the Balloon Boy debacle before your US Weekly reading friends. Kudos, E!, for making my daily commute a little more informative.

Pure entertainment. It claims to track YOUR location via GPS, so obviously it can locate your friend standing next to you via his/her "phone number"...

I gave this one a 3 because it's very slow. Switching backgrounds should be fun, not work.

I don't really see a use for this app since I never have barcodes to look up without the product to which they are attached. However I did give it a 3 because it found every product I bothered searching

Does exactly what it claims...no practical value beyond entertainment

Limited access with the lite version, but it still gives access to 250 tones for free. Provide an e-mail address, download the attachment, and upload to phone via iTunes.

Great for keeping up with topix forums but it's pretty slow....could be server issues and not the app itself.

OmniFocus is AWESOME

I've been using OmniFocus on my Mac for a long time. I resisted adding it to my iPod Touch because that means carrying the Touch around in addition to my cell phone.

Finally gave in, installed it, and... wow. Suddenly I'm in a GTD zone - no open loops, no forgotten stuff. I can handle manage and synchronize my GTD list, I don't have to carry a pad around, and I'm 10x more organized.

If you have OmniFocus on your Mac, get it for your iPhone or Touch. If you don't, get it for both.

Just downloaded the ActionDrum air drumming app. Maybe I'll be this good at air drumming someday like this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aED5P1gL1Os

Probably better than the movie will be

This game is interesting and reminds me quite a bit of Tornado Mania by Digital Chocolate, both having the goal of destroying towns by means of natural disaster. The cool thing in this game's case is you can choose from a variety of disasters, from hurricanes to earthquakes, as opposed to just tornadoes.

If you want to unleash your destructive side, check it out.

Interesting app

There are some pretty funny "ideas" in this app

A bit pricey

Not only is this app a great password manager, you can use it to store your other details like bank accounts, credit cards, etc...

Works even better if you are already using 1Password on the Mac as they are able to sync with each other.

Thank you, Pandora!

I have Pandora hooked up at home to my sound system. It rocks. My mom loved it so much when she was in town having dinner... so she wired up her own home system to do the same thing. Through Pandora. Through her iPhone. She's 70. Enough said? Amazing application, easy to use, works like a charm. If you like music, you will love Pandora.

Needs Live Video

NBA Game Time has almost everything. Live radio feeds are decent and the interface is sharp, but the developers need to figure out a way to make live video a reality. This app is pretty new, so I expect to see NBA digital make some tweaks sooner than later.

If you want to hold off on spending the $9.99, then check out the free version (NBA Game Time Lite).

Great idea

, but it doesn't work - at least not for me. It's not the application who is to blame here, but rather the compass in the iPhone. It doesn't tell the direction correctly. Tried it both for 3Gs and Android with the same result.

Tap Tap Revenge 3

I haven't owned any of the previous games in the Tap Tap series, so I don't know how this one compares but I LOVE THIS GAME!

It comes with just a couple of songs, but you can download plenty more. Some you have to pay for, but over 100 are free.

At the time of writing the review, the free weekly download song is one by the Foo Fighters, although most of the songs that you can download free are by unknown artists.

I guess that where the makers of the game get all their money is from the paid tracks, at 59p or 99c for 2 or £1.79 or $2.99 for 6, you can soon rack up a lot of money spent on this without realising it.

This is not the music game for you if you don't like rock as most of the music is very rocked out although they do have One Republic and Lady Gaga on the softer side.

But summing up, this is a great game for all the family, I love it, hubby loves it and my 10 year old son loves it. It takes just a couple of minutes to play one song, so it's great if you don't have much time, but you may need headphones if you're on a packed train as I can imagine it would get very annoying. But it's incredibly addictive if you're the one playing it. It is by far my favourite game on my iphone.
