Oscar Trivia for the Movie buff

This trivia application is all about the Oscars! It will quiz you on information about previous years winners and your knowledge of the history of the Oscars. It also allows you to search through this years nominees and predict who you think will win. Overall, this game is very addicting and has enough questions to keep you entertained throughout the entire award show.

Meet The Oscars App

This app is similar to the other Oscar apps in that you can look up the nominees, predict who you think will win and share your predictions with friends. However, the one thing I enjoyed most about this application (other than the fact that it's free) was that it is connected directly to IMDB so you can look up more information about the nominees and learn about the previous films they have been in.

The Oscars

This app is very similar to the official Oscars app but this application offers you the chance to win $1 million bucks!! Sign me up! In addition to a chance at winning some cash, this app gives real time information on everything that has to do with the Oscars, including all new information on the films and actors leading up to event. You can predict which film you think will win, keep track of your predictions to see if you were correct, and share you predictions with your friends. You can also watch trailers and connect directly to Netflix if you see a trailer for a film you are interested in renting.
It is a bit pricey for apps that can do essentially the same things, though.

Learn about current and previous Oscar winners

This app is great for people who not only want to know about this years Oscar nominees but also learn about previous years winners. You can browse through the list of this years nominees and predict who you think is going to take home the award. Then, while you wait for the show to begin, you can browse through previous years and view the list of winners by year or category. You can also view the award history for a particular actor or movie. This app will also up updated during real time during the Oscars on Sunday to give you an up to date list of the winners.

Official app for the Oscars

This app is the official application for the 2010 Oscars, and even better, it's FREE! This app allows you to search through all of the categories and view who is nominated for each one. You can also view the trailers for the nominated movies and learn interesting information about the film, cast and crew. My favorite part of this application is you can predict who you think is going to win for each category and then share it on Twitter, Facebook, etc. It also will have real-time results during the award show so you can see who the rest of the world predicted would win and who actually won.

Best Twitter Application

As someone who just got a Twitter this past week [I know, I know.. I was trying to withstand the pressure but I finally gave in] I prefer to browse Twitter through this application rather than the actual website itself.
The interface is so easy to use and the layouts are clean and super simple to navigate. I also love how if you have multiple accounts you can access both of them from Tweetie 2, allowing easy updating from both a personal account and a business account.
It took me a while to learn figure out how to @ reply someone and RT but now that I have been playing around with it, it couldn't me more simple to navigate.

Beware: This app takes away the excuse "I forgot about my homework"

I thought I was an organized person... until I downloaded this app. This app allows you to import all of your classes for each semester and then import your tests, homework, assignments and any other important class information you have each semester. It will give you alerts when an assignment due date is coming up and you can check off when you have the assignment completed. It also imports all of your assignments into a clean calendar which allows you to browse through your semester schedule with ease. Great for people trying to keep their classes and assignments in order.

Updated with push notifications and desktop clients

The app has been updated with push notifications and now there is an open source PC client - http://sourceforge.net/projects/pastefireclient (so you can send content to the iPhone from any app with a single keyboard shortcut). A Mac client will be ready in a few days.

full-featured personal manager

Complex, expensive, but worth it. In some ways, I like the iPhone version better than the Mac version.

Facebook Review

This was the first app I downloaded when I bought my iPod Touch so I never really appreciated just how smooth and handy it was until I started downloading other apps that tried to do the same thing and failed horribly in comparison.
One of my very favorite parts of this app is how smoothly you can view your own and your friends photos. Honestly, I think the photo quality is better on my iPod than on my computer. I also like the easy and fuctional view of your "wall" and the ease you can browse through it and comment on friends post.
Overall I think Facebook did an amazing job with this application. It's probably one of the best designed apps i've come across.

Great App! Really smooth design and layout that is easy to navigate and find recommended apps and see apps that are advised for you.
When interested in purchasing an app, it automatically opens up the app store to the selected apps download page. It's also nice getting reviews from friends instead of random people.
Only negative remarks I have about this app is that it's hard to navigate to peoples profile and view their app library.
Overall its a great app that allows to search quickly and easily for other great apps!

Provocative

This app presents a lot of provocative questions about things to do in life. Reminded me of some things I've done that I forgot about, suggested things I might want to do that I didn't even know existed, and showed me that I really have been working my way around the globe.

Groupon review

I have been a fan of the website Groupon.com for a while now so I was excited when they created their own app. This app is realy easy to navigate and has a really clean design. It remembers your location so right when you open the app, you are automatically viewing the daily Groupon for your area. The only thing it doesn't show is the daily side deal- it only shows the main deal of the day. I would like if I could view both because sometimes the main Groupon will not be something I am interested in but I will like the side offer deal.
Other than that, this app is really useful and convienant for anyone looking for a good deal. It is essentially the website, just in an app. No new features other than the basic Groupon each day.

It really is a fun game to play, but not quite the usual type I think since you've gotta solve all the puzzles in it by figuring out what 2 do first 'intuitively' and then explore some possible control options on iPhone and iPod. This is quite unique and super entertaining!
