This is a good story, and they did a great job with the art, but the story I really wanted to buy Part 2 of this book to see what happened.
Fun game to play when you time to waste and nothing else on your phone seems to hold your attention. As simply as it sound there is some challenges to tossing the paper in the trash can.
Best alternative for those of us with Yahoo! Delicious sign-in accounts.
Developer just updated this to 1.1 and I have to say I'm impressed. I had to change this to 5 bars.
Whenever I see a bunch of 5 bars I wonder if any app is all that good. Then I downloaded WordSnake and I got to tell you, it is flat out fun. Being a Scrabble junkie myself doesn't hurt either. This game could change the way Mattel makes their future Scrabble boards. I love the obstacles and shortcuts and really like the double letter tiles. I could recommend they add CL, SS or OO as other double letter tiles. No choice but to rate this a 5 bar.
Finally downloaded and played. Awesome idea. Need to change frame of reference used in Sudoku to work it out on a cube. The 2D - 3D thing is killer. Definite keeper.
I like tis app because it makes accessing the Newspaper's content easy. I like the categorisation. It downloads the stories for quick and simple access even when offline.
I love this game! It's by far the best game in it's genre of physics games like totem destroyer tiki towers tumble blocks and so on. It is a bit short as of right now but I noticed the developer said he submitted an update that doubled the levels and curses. The graphics are nice and you first get this nice relaxed feel from the game and its natue sound effects and then BAM! You experience one of the islands curses and feel like the Brady bunch tiki curse had nothing on this. Overall it's a great game but I'm eager to see the updates to come. I think this could become a classic.
Okay, I'm a sucker for travel books. Now this particular app, which appears to be a holder for other Lonely Planet titles, not only includes a guidebook for my favorite city, San Francisco, but it also has a little Mexican Spanish phrasebook thrown in for good measure. Odd yes, but they are both pretty cool and, bonus, the app was free the last time I checked.
You can have hundreds of newspapers from around the world at your disposal with this app, but Wow! It took me 20 minutes to download a Brazilian newspaper, and that was the third attempt. The first two attempts failed half way through. It took me 10 minutes to load a smaller paper from Belgium. Once you've got the download, the app works pretty good, until it crashes. This would be a great app, if it worked well. Oh well.
This is an excellent news app. You do read french, don't you?
I checked this app out a couple of weeks ago and was not impressed. In fact, I felt like it was a complete waste of time. Maybe it's better on the iPad.
This app supposedly extends your battery life. Does it work? I don't know, but it is easy use. Just run your battery down to 20% or less, turn on the app and then charge your battery as normal. The idea is, if you discharge the battery almost all the way and then give it a full charge, the battery will perform better. The instructions indicate that one should utilize this "full charge" therapy at least once a month. The app also includes advice on how to configure your iphone with regard to optimizing battery life.
Besides information that would be handy for someone interested in going to The Portland Art Museum, there are 11 video shorts included that show off some of the museums pieces along with commentary.
if you're a fan of this amazing comedy team then you can't go wrong with this download. The soundboard is missing a few of my favorite quotes, like the Philanthropist bit (I am a full on..), but it is sure to provide entertainment. Oh, and you can go to the Paddy's Pub blog.
Enjoy.
Most of us remember the old console games such as tetris and its different modifications which shortened our time while travelling somewhere and made nice our long waiting. Deep ocean adventure is based on the principle of these old games, concretely the game called Mysteries of the ocean from the firm Elektronika(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elektronika). The innovation respects a simple game principle but as a bonus gives its players new graphic rendition.
With three divers-adventurers you will go to the bottom of the ocean to mine plutonium from an old destroyed submarine that is protected by a huge (mutated) octopus. The task is to obtain as many isotopes as possible, take them on the ship and safely avoid the deadly tentacles of the octopus.
The game looks attractively from the screenshots but of course it´s a matter of taste, someone could get scared by the used comic graphics. I personally had hesitated for a while because I prefer more motions but then the nostalgia and curiosity won and the game didn´t disappoint me, rather on the contrary. Despite most of the pictures are static, there are slight details which are movable (for example signal rocket or swinging ship when the divers jump on) and make very nice impression. Besides there is a different animation of the death of each tentacle which makes it very interesting. The certain disadvantage of this game is the fact that the game is quite complicated as far as the graphics is concerned, so it´s possible when you are for example downloading your mail (or you are doing a different activity in the background), the application falls down.
If you compare it with the old classic, there are other changes. We won´t hear the typical beeping sound of the speaker but you can enjoy for example distinctive screaming of the octopus when it gets deadly hit or the pulsating sound which improves the game. As a little problem I take the fact that the screamings don´t match the animations. The bigger problem is you can not listen to the music while playing the game.
The overall impression of the game is very nice, it´s based on the simple principle which doesn´t make the players think too much. The game is a perfect way how to relax in your free time. The motivational factor of the game is the service OpenFeint that offers you to watch your score online and it also allows you to get connected with other gaming community.
Pluses:
- original design
- simple principle easy to understand
- online score
- three different gaming characters
Minuses:
- turning off the music during the game
- demandingness of the game
- size of the file
I'm loving the ability to finally see what is trending among my friends. Twitter has yet to made trending topics useful by friends or locations and this app really fills that nitch.
One thing to know. The app is free but trends 2-5 are hidden and can be unlocked for 0.99$.
So think of this as a lite/preview friendtrend, check it out and then drop a buck to make it really useful. Nice UI, simple and functional.
If you are a Gowalla user this app is definitely worth checking out. You can view items nearby or scout a different locale to see what items are scattered around.
You can track friends items and more. Adds a lot if you are into the virtual item collections
