Annoying...

Just makes high frequency noise.

Very Adult

I think I paid a couple of bucks for this. Comes with pictures and explainations.

Shake it!

I really wanted to love this app. Primarily I wanted it because there are so many apps out there, and ones that I hadn’t thought about even existing and I figured this app would help me with that. The trouble of course is that far too often you get things that you wouldn’t even consider wanting. And that’s where this app fails.

You see, if you’re going to put out a trial version of a paid app pick the subgroup of apps most likely to have great and helpful applications. Putting out this app with only the Entertainment category may have seemed like a good fit for the most users, but it’s likely to also be the category with the most fluff and indeed it is. The only app that even got close to something I’d consider purchasing required me to have a TIVO. Since I don’t watch much TV it’s unlikely this app will be very useful.

In the end the Genius portion of the iPhone store and a bit of research and reading will likely be more useful than this app. Maybe the full paid app is better but this lite version did a horrible job of inspiring me to purchase it.

Coachella rocks...and so does it's app

I have already loved having access to the forums to keep up with rumors and information. I know that having the set times, stage maps and plans at my fingertips will make the festival absolutely amazing this year. Developers did a great job with this one!

I love being able to see how a restaurant I'm considering has been reviewed, especially when making a quick decision on the go. Yelp is easy to use and I love having so much information at my fingertips.

This app really has everything "by the numbers" all in one place. I can check my number of blog subscribers via Feedburner, my number of blog hits via Google Analytics, my number of Twitter followers and my bank account via Mint all in one app. For a quick rundown on EVERYTHING I want to know about my "status" I can't beat Ego's convenience.

I downloaded Tweetie a few months ago and haven't regretted it...save for the few times it's just stopped working or lost my @ replies. Still, it's a clean, easy-to-use Twitter tool.

Quick Tip saves my dinners...

I'll admit it: I'm that friend that takes a ridiculous amount of time adding up the tip & total. That's why I teach English, not math. This app has made it easy for me to figure out a tip without holding up my dining companions.

Scrabble!

I'm a total Scrabble nerd, so being able to keep up on my Facebook games is important. Love the "teacher" feature --- whenever I play a word, I can see what I should have done. It keeps me learning about how to best demolish my friends.

At least it is free

I was unfortunate enough to get this app when you still had to pay for it -- at least now it is free. Effectively what you're buying is a container for your various LP apps (which should, I guess, become redundant when folders come available in the new OS). I got the SF guide and a Mexican phrasebook as a part of the bundle (neither of which I wanted/needed) but at the end of the day was a bit put out that I had to pay for it. I don't use it now, storing what few LP apps I do buy individually. (For transparency's sake, LP and myself could be considered to be competitors for SEAsia travel guides)

Not as captivating as I expected

I'm not a big gamer, but had read so much about this particular app that I gave it a whirl. It was mildly engrossing, but at a base addictive level can't compete with something like Plants Vs Zombies, FlightControl etc, but what was more annoying was the quite aggressive implementation of pay as you go. Pay for this pay for that -- it is obviously a very successful platform but think, especially for novices, a bit more could be thrown out for free. Also found, when you did pay for more tunes, the download was often far from seamless.

Does a fabulous job of bringing the Facebook website to the iPhone. Fantastic usability and ease of use. Would venture is easier to use, with less clutter, than the actual website.

Totally addictive

Name of this app says it all. A very simple yet totally addictive game. Very easy to use and pick up. One gripe is it is difficult to play when laying down!

Could be better

This is basically the HostelWorld website ported to the iPhone. While you can download sections for offline viewing, overall it is a bit of a disappointment, especially when compared to one like HostelHero which added in a lot of value adding. Also found it a little sluggish to use and often had to click repeatedly to get into a detailed preview page. Overall it does the job but could do with some fine tuning and added features.

Hobbled by no background apps

The app is good, but it is totally hobbled by not being able to run it in the background. I primarily use Skype as a chat client so until you can run it in the background I just don't chat on the touch.

Just a gateway to the English paper

This is primarily an interface to the Nation's Thai language papers. To read the English paper you need to download a second app which is (cough cough) subscription based. Go with the Bangkok Post.

Simple to use

Found this app very easy to use, but it is a bit buggy -- I got tossed out a couple of times and the options button gets stuck. On the actual content, seems a bunch of safe bets are covered -- with pics. For a free app this is not bad and probably worth grabbing if you're swinging through Melbourne.
