Spotify is THE BEST in mobile radios, in my opinion. I use the radio feature all the time when commuting, and it I've found that it picks better, more relevant songs (based on my initial selection) than Pandora Radio.
Spotify is great when you want to listen to a specific album or song. The reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the radio is really lacking. If you select a specific artist for radio it plays a ton of songs that are not similar. Pandora is better at radio but Spotify is much better when you want to listen to an album or song before purchasing it. You can also make playlists on spotify of a bunch of songs you want to listen to and share them with your friends!
I have to admit I am new at spotify, but for one week, it became my favorite, favorite one. I can do my own list of artists and songs, the app gives me great suggestions even for bands I don't know and the best, best part is that I can go and give a look at my friends lists and check out some new track and artist I have no idea of. Cool.
I pay for the $9.99/month Premium subscription and use Spotify as my main way to listen to music. It's mainly out of convenience that I don't wish to maintain my own library of mp3s, but it is actually very expensive (thus the 4 bars).
Happy with the music quality and selection of music. Unhappy about the price, but I'm lazy and enjoy the convenience.
Spotify has taken the world by storm, and for good reasons. The load time for songs can be slow sometimes, but it's a solid service.
I downloaded this app and Rdio after hearing rave reviews of both. This app works fine, however, offline mode is the thing I wanted most in these apps, and Rdio's is way, way faster at saving. I would rather pay for Rdio than this. But, it is still a fine music streaming service
Having Spotify on my iPhone has been the ultimate music experience! Not only can I listen to my playlists in my car, but I also can find recommendations from my friends' playlists.
I really wasn't sure I needed another music app. I mean really, there's pandora. What's the point? Well, the fact that I can listen to Gary Numan's new album (even though I've downloaded it already but not put onto my phone) is pretty awesome. Pandora will let me listen to Gary, but not his whole new album.
That said, it isn't as good at buffering as Pandora as I get a few glitches here and there but still, it's worth it to have this on my phone. Will I upgrade? Doubt it... I'm not that kind of girl usually but for serious music fans you want this app... but then if you're a serious music fan you likely already know that and have this app!
Spotify is one of the top ten tech releases of the year - providing endless music and listening, it totally tops pandora for me! I just wish this app had an in-app purchasing option or a free trial before I upgrade to premium, not sure if it is worth taking that next step yet...
Spotify's availability in the US is making headlines and this app alone gives insight to the big fuss. Beautifully designed and free you are able to log into your account and listen to your mp3 collection and any other song online instantly. Two very big thumbs up.
