Music you like

Classical music sometimes results in some strange selections but quality is good, and you can always skip to the next selection.

What else but ....OUTSTANDING!

From the title you can tell I like Pandora a lot. Seems like it may be one of the all-time best apps. One of my first and always great.

Internet Radio

To many features to list, so I'll go with the 4 negatives I found.

It requires a registered account (but it will save your playlists), the individual songs load slowly (but play flawlessly), it appears to only have older music (at least in the death metal genre), small collapsible ad on every song (who cares, it's free).

I give it 4-bars for being close to perfect and the 1st internet radio app I've tried.

Dave Matthews Radio has been replacing iTunes. Can't wait for technology like this in my car.

I have Pandora hooked up at home to my sound system. It rocks. My mom loved it so much when she was in town having dinner... so she wired up her own home system to do the same thing. Through Pandora. Through her iPhone. She's 70. Enough said? Amazing application, easy to use, works like a charm. If you like music, you will love Pandora.

The reason I bought an iPhone

Moments after buying my iPhone last year, I went to my car in the parking lot and immediately downloaded Pandora. I drive 45 minutes each way to work and I was curious whether Pandora would work, without interruption during my commute. And it does. So now whenever I get tired of ESPN or XRT, I just plug in my iPhone to my stereo and stream my favorite music/artists. It is a great app and I don't even mind the small ads that are displayed as they do not interfere with my experience. Get it.. you will love it.

i am the worst in remembering band names or song names and with this app, all i have to do is remember one (or use Shazam to find the name if i hear it somewhere) and then create a list = and what doesn't work for me... well, I can X it out.

Best Music App. Period.

This is my most used app. It picks better playlists than my itunes genius because it's pulling music from such a vast library. It's a great way to discover music and a great way to listen to the music you want.

It's my own personalized radio station based on my mood at the exact moment I'm feeling it. Pandora One (paid) is also very much worth it if you are a heavy listener.

Discover new tunes

Pandora is great when you want a change from what's already on your iPod. I got hooked on the web version, so this app was one of the first I ever downloaded. If Pandora could run in the background while I used other features of the phone, it'd be perfect.

A really great app

I love using this for parties. We stick the iPod in the stereo and select a station. My only complaint is that you tend to hear the same few songs all the time. Still, it's great to have a huge library of music at your fingertips. If you pay for a Pandora account you can let the music run for hours without any interaction at all!

Best radio app by far

  • Posted by hontzd August 19, 2009

The web-based version of Pandora is pretty amazing itself - you tell it what music you like and it creates a custom radio station for you. The iPhone app lets you take this great service anywhere, and it's especially compelling when you hook it up to your car stereo. The sound quality is great -- much better than most radio apps -- and rarely does the stream get dropped. I've used Pandora on 200-mile drives without it skipping a beat (pun intended).
