Mask Game (iPhone, iPad) Free
Mask Game is sort of like Memory, and sort of like Three Card Monty. There are eight masks randomly arranged on the screen, which disappear after you have a chance to try to memorize their locations. Then the game flashes one of the masks -- it’s your job to try to remember which location the mask was in.
It’s a pretty simple game and is currently free. Mask Game has a cool art style, and it becomes more challenging as time goes on, requiring you to remember more mask positions. You’ll get a quick memory fix out of this app -- and it’s free, so get it now.
Virus Strike (iPhone) $0.99
Here’s a puzzler that combines aspects of some very popular games -- namely Bejeweled and Flight Control -- to make a fairly unique but simple and intuitive game. It runs on the premise of drawing lines to direct colored viruses around the screen in order to keep them organized.
Virus Strike has two kinds of puzzle elements: viruses and antibodies. Both come in various colors, and both sets of objects fall from the top of the screen to the bottom. By drawing a line to create a ramp, you can direct the viruses and antibodies to different places around the screen. Pile viruses of certain color together, and when an antivirus shows up, you can send it to the viruses of the same color to eliminate them, as long as their touching. But if an antivirus touches a virus of the wrong color, the viruses multiply. It takes some skill and coordination to keep the viruses from piling up too high and ending the game.
