Beyond the iTunes App Store

While there are nearly 200,000 apps available for download at Apple's iTunes App Store, Google's Android platform now hosts nearly 40,000 apps. This includes thousands of mobile games to play on Verizon's Droid as well as other devices for Tmobile and other carriers. Appolicious is also the leading provider of Android app and game coverage.

Industry news about your favorite developers

In addition to writing reviews and commentary, Appolicious taps into industry coverage and brings you news and insight from the developers themselves. From Tapulous, to ngmoco to the investors funding all the innovation, we also tell you the story behind your favorite games.

Actually on the subject of puzzle games, there is a very cool iPad-only app called Argus that I am really into these days. It is basically a variation on the old Lights Out app but it looks great and has great sound.

It isn't something that you'll play for years but it is pretty challenging, makes you work your brain, and is very cool to look at and listen to.

Associated Apps:  Argus
