Lost Reels features three new worlds to play in Story Mode, while the original cast of Overkill returns, from Isaac Washington to Varla Guns. The Lost Reels also features three different control schemes to try out: Accelerometer controls, Virtual Pad, and Frenzy Tap. Players can upgrade their guns as they play using in-game “Ka$h,” or spend their money on combo extenders, reload boosters and more.
Random Heroes 2 ($0.99)
Random Heroes 2 is back with the same charming 2-D shooter action that made the original and League of Evil so fun to play. This time gamers get 90 levels to defend from evil using 22 different weapons and 18 characters. The game’s upgrade system is intact and players can collect stars and crystal skulls to enhance the challenge. Well worth checking out if you’re into classic action games ala Contra or Mega Man.
Iron Man 3’s mobile game equivalent will keep players fighting long after the credits roll on the film thanks to an endless amount of self-generating levels across the game’s three locales in Malibu Shores, New York City and China. Players will also square off against four villains from the Iron Man comics during the game, including Crimson Dynamo, Ezekiel Stane, Living Laser and M.O.D.O.K. Players can upgrade their Iron Man suit to one of 18 different variations while also upgrading powers to their suit as they play.
For a more laid back game, there’s Gardenscapes, where players try to identify dozens of objects in a given room. Gardenscapes features 60 rooms with more than 3,000 hidden objects to find. There are three different game modes plus additional quests and mini-games to enjoy.
