Zeld-onia is what I am calling this title. And it is not mockery, it is devotion. I love it! If you at all enjoy action RPGs(i.e. Zelda but with less puzzle solving) this is the game for you. I love the straight forward gameplay, it is simple but just customizable enough to satisfy. Every level you gain, you receive 3 stat points to play with and one active or passive power to upgrade. Old hat for anyone who has played RPGs on a SuperNintendo, SegaSaturn, Nintendo64, or even some Playstation titles. The game is pretty straight forward, with no in depth puzzles to solve (what a nightmare that would be on a mobile system trying to figure out a Zelda style puzzle), yet still fun, and it did not lose me the way some RPGs do when you have to hack and slash through the whole game. Sometimes I hate wading through the hours of "grinding" (repeating combat for levels, items, and money) just to get some satisfying story or cut scenes. I did not encounter that here. I enjoy going out and fighting my way around the map. Don't be afraid of the lingo, it has been updated with modern representations of our slang and occasionally misspelled words (sadly a Gamevil standard that does not bother me). It is refreshing while at the same time frustrating for the head of an organization to sound like a "surfer dude" or an R&B singer. It's a great game, and there is a light version for anyone who is hesitant, but for as long as it has kept me playing on my phone, I can't think that anyone who enjoys RPGs or video gaming in general could not find something to like or even love about this game.
