I love the concept behind sketch nation shooter. It's just like any other space shooter game, except you can design both the spaceships and the enemies. You can also choose how many enemies you want to fight. The directions are easy to follow. Creative and fun!

Easier acceptance of artwork would make this game fantastic!

This is a great game for kids and for anyone who likes to sketch. It's fun to see your artwork "come to life" on the screen, spewing missiles at other drawings you've made. The game gives you the option to create a simple game reminiscent of many other battles where you dodge objects, shoot enemies, gain or lose lives, gobble up power-up objects, etc. You can also draw more complex scenes with several types of enemies.

The great thing about this game is the ability for you to design all of the objects yourself using crayons, markers or pens, white paper and your iPhone camera. Draw your image, snap a photo, and import it into the game. You also can design the background so that your objects can appear to be moving through space- perhaps along a road, through a field, or in outerspace- it's your choice!

Unfortunately, this is a bit easier said than done, as I had problems getting my drawings accepted. The app seems a bit fickle about what it accepts, sometimes accepting my artwork, sometimes rejected the very same image. I still haven't figured this out. It is important to draw with a heavy enough hand so that the app can "see" your object clearly-there must be no gaps in the drawing, or the image will be misread (and strangely rendered). I had to resort to drawing a thick black line around some of my drawings before they were accepted, so I still need some practice.

Despite the problems, it's exhilarating when things go correctly. Once I figure out the finickiness of this app, I look forward to my imagination being well-tapped. I've already got the kids drawing for it!
