Gameplay: One can not call this game a conceptually new or a revolutionary one at least because it's a second version of a popular Mr. Cond game. There are no brain-twisters here, the levels differ only in difficulty. Nevertheless you have a great arcade shooter in front of you which suits both those killing time to relax in lines, on lectures or public transportation and gamers who play for the glory in Game Center (supported by the game).
The aim of the game is to protect the sexual intercourse from bacteria and spermatozoa by shooting condoms at them. A gamer has two bonuses which are making a three-condom shot at once or kill all the bacteria using pills. But pressing them constantly would not work for you — every one of them has a certain time of recovery after the usage. And the levels are balanced in a way that surviving is possible only if bonuses are used at the right time. I`ve also found out that shooting constantly all over the screen would not work for you as well since this is another moment thought out by developers: your scores are fined for missing.
Design: The game is stylish. All game elements starting with the most obvious to details correspond to the topic and fit the unified concept. Compared with the first Mr. Cond version the new one became definitely better.
Besides the standard background you can choose another four, but they will not chaotically change as the game goes distracting and meddling with concentration on completing the levels. Instead they will be chosen randomly at the start of every new game. The interesting thing about backgrounds is that they are drawn in a manner that bacteria of a certain kind blend with certain background and this complicates the game somewhat. The diversity of the graphics besides the backgrounds is created by different kinds of condoms, bacteria and spermatozoa with all of them being drawn creatively but realistically at the same time. The animation quality of every element of Mr. Cond game is a pleasant surprise for a game of this genre. When it comes to design there is everything that I would personally like to have and there is nothing excessive — the game is not overloaded by primitive animation, all the details are well-
drawn. My evaluation is 5 out of 5 points.
Music: On the first use of the game on my iPod 3 the music shocked me with its discordance. This was surprising — can it really be that the developers with such attention to gameplay and design worked insufficiently on selecting such an important part of the game as the soundtrack... But the doubts went away after the launch of the game on iPad 2. On newer devices the game music sounds excellent, fits well the pace and the rhythm of the game. It is unobtrusive and of high quality, a desire to turn off the sound does not arrive. It is evident that an expert put efforts in soundtrack and the developers have paid much attention to this aspect, not taking the first melody they have stumbled upon. But taking into account the sound on my iPod 3 I can give only 4 out of 5 points for music.
Idea: I would like to talk separately about it , since there is one in Mr. Cond 2 game. In general I would say this game into a programme of sexual education for youth. The game promotes safe sex in a simple, not boring and entertaining way. At the same time game developers do not allow overtly physiological or vulgar moments in design or gameplay. As an expected mother I would surely show Mr. Cond game to my teenage child. So, the idea and its implementation deserves 5+ out of 5 points.
Conclusion: You may quickly get bored with Mr. Cond game or you may get captivated for a long tome, but it is worth checking it. And it will surely work off its one buck honestly. So, protect your iDevice, not just your sex.
