The latest update for iphone has added topic threading, making it easier to track conversations (which was the only real issue I had with it before). Easy to browse different Yammer spaces, simple interface.
Yammer is a corporate internal social networking tool, so this app will only be of use to you if your workplace has taken it up. Though if it hasn't, you could look into it yourself...
I work for TechSoup Global and at work we use Yammer to stay in touch, especially around things that aren't email worthy. Want to post a great article that you've found but don't feel like an "all" email is appropriate? Yammer.
So basically this app allows you to access your already set up Yammer stream. Nothing terribly exciting, but a good solid app that connects you while you're on the go.
If you have Yammer and use it you'll want this app.
This app has done such awesome things for a group I work with - we work from all over the country, some from a couple of other countries - and it's awesome to have a client like this that keeps us all together. You can turn on or off the push notifications, depending on how alerted you need to be - it's like... Twitter+IM for collaborating groups. Love it.
I'm a Community Admin for the 20-Something Bloggers community, and I love being able to read and respond to important messages on the go. As a business, this sort of "internal Twitter" would be invaluable for sharing mass messages quickly.
