Lots of Junk

I love the idea of this app. Tell me when apps are on sale so I don't miss something. Fantastic. But the problem is similar to all sales, if what's on sale is junk it doesn't really matter that it's cheap. And this is exactly the problem with this app.

The vast majority of the apps I've seen with this are simply things that I would never want, free or paid. Parent Remote to "control" my parents? Really? Am I twelve years old?

Sure, this app may be trying to be all things to all people (a failure in and of itself) but I've yet to see anything on sale that I would even consider getting (even for free) and frankly, that's saying something.

If you're really hurting for ideas this app may be for you but to me, it's just not worth it.

Since writing the review in July, the App Store has grown by 60%; even more reason to need apps to help us winnow the list. Of course, the number one app - and site - for doing that is Appolicious. :)

Solid app

Perfect for app hounds, my only problem with this is when you click on an app to buy it, the app doesn't save the position, so i have to mark the stuff i want to download first as favorites then download them afterward. I like how everything is arranged so i keep using it.

Saving money is a good thing

Everyone should have this installed! On a near daily basis, I fire this app up, head over to the On Sale section and look for apps that have recently dropped their price to free. It's a great way to sample new apps at the low low price of nothing.

Or maybe there are apps that you've been eyeing but can't afford due to high prices. Add them as Favorites and Pandora Box will alert you when they drop in price.
