Easiest Way to get Notes on Mac

I use simplenote to write brief notes / thoughts while commuting - instantly uploads on my computer for use later when I get to the office.

Another good note-taking app, I tend to prefer Evernote, but SimpleNote is another good way to take notes on your phone and sync them to your computer. And vice versa. Really clean design, simple to use. My favorite feature is just how clean it is - not a lot of features, but the simplicity is what I think works from a really great organizer/note-taker.

Frankly this app is too simple for me. For what it does, take simple notes, it does well. It syncs well with their web app. However it leaves a lot when it comes to organizing the notes. It appears to sort them alphabetically, however that's about it. I didn't find any way to add folders or notebooks of any kind. So it seems to me if you end up with a lot of notes, things might get out of hand.

However if you need a SimpleNote taking app, this might work for you. I usually go back to the native note app on my iPhone for that job. So this app will probably get deleted.

Like the previous review, I have to agree that the best thing about this app is that it syncs while you're writing your note. Not having to remember one more step is incredibly easy.

Also? You have the ability to import your notes from Evernote, should you want to.

Best part? It's free!

This is one off my favorite notes app. I does exactly what it says. If you are on Mac you can have it sync with a destop app (currently there are four Mac apps that syncs wit it). If not you can use the webb ap which is also simple and fast. The best thing about this app is that to sync it you do not have to do anything. So dont need to remember to tap the sync button before exit. It saves the note as you type it. And synchronize it almost instantly. All these are done in the background. If you need a simple app to take notes and if sorting these notes (by tags for example) is not important for you then this app is for you.
