Splashtop Remote Desktop lets users view and control their desktop or laptop computer right from the iPad screen. Because they are viewing the actual computer screen, this allows users to control any application, browse the web, open files, etc. remotely. All that is required is a desktop add-on and a good wireless Internet connection. There is a slight lag, and the connection can be iffy, at times, but it worked flawlessly 90% of the time for me. I can see this being particularly for anyone who uses a computer and projector as a presentation tool, allowing them freedom of movement while still maintaining control of the device. The price is a bargain, too, especially compared to similar apps.
