    Mobile Podcaster Only app I've found which lets you record an audio podcast and directly upload it to your WordPress blog. ($2)
  3. Hokusai Audio Editor
    Hokusai Audio Editor The most "Audacity-like" iOS app I've found, supports export to iMovie, Garageband, DropBox, & other apps. (free)
  4. iTalk Recorder
    iTalk Recorder Best free audio recorder I've found for recording interviews & ambient sounds. Free app available for wifi transfer to computers. (free)
  5. SoundCloud
    SoundCloud Free recording & sharing of audio to the Cloud (SoundCloud's servers), browser-based pages support timestamped commenting. (free)
  6. ipadio
    ipadio Good free phonecasting app and service, app doesn't run on iPad, however. (crashes) Supports uploading of audio files, creates free text transcriptions. (free)
  7. Book Creator for iPad
    Book Creator for iPad Best app I've found & used with students to date for recording audio directly into an iBook. Supports adding images and text too. ($5)
  8. iRig Recorder
    iRig Recorder Free version of this app includes some editing options (trimming start & end points) the paid version includes 8 effects processors. ($5)
