comfypandabear says: Who's ready to laugh? Here are some entertaining comedy apps I turn to often while commuting, usually followed by sudden bursts of laughter that confound those around me.
comfypandabear's picks
  1. Earwolf
Earwolf Earwolf is home to two of my very favorite comedy podcasts, Comedy Bang Band and How Did This Get Made? The first is an interview podcast produced and hosted by Scott Aukerman, who also produces Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. The latter is a podcast about movies, either those that are flat out bad/insane or so bad that they're amazing. It's hosted by Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Raphael.
  2. McSweeney’s
McSweeney’s One of my favorite places to read smart, bite-sized articles. My favorite to this date is the one titled "YouTube comment or ee cummings quote."
  3. The Onion
The Onion Hands down the best satirical app ever invented. Seriously. Get it.
  4. Comedy Central's Indecision Election Companion
Comedy Central's Indecision Election Companion Even though this has a short shelf-life (through the November Presidential election), there are funny articles, videos, and caption contests!
  5. The Colbert Report’s The Word
The Colbert Report’s The Word One of my favorite segments on the Colbert Report is The Word. It should be yours, too, if you like a satirical newscaster being undermined by subliminal on-screen text.
