Best Word Games  by Deleted User

Missing
Deleted User says: Aside from making calls (dropped or not) I use my iPhone to play a lot of word games. These are some of the best that I've played and recommended.
Deleted User's picks
  1. SCRABBLE
SCRABBLE Yeah, it's $4.99 but it's worth it. Great interface, challenging computer, and hours of fun.
  2. WordPop!
WordPop! Ok, this game can go for days. If you're looking a quickie this might not be it. But don't let that dissuade you. It's cheap and entertaining
  3. wurdle
wurdle This was the starter for me. This is the game that got me addicted to gaming on the iPhone. Give it a try
  4. Moxie
Moxie This one is really fun for a while but at some point you begin to recognize the patterns. Check it out
  5. The Word Chase
The Word Chase This will be my next addiction, I can just tell. It's both challenging and easy to learn. Still stuck on WordPop! for now though.

I'm so addicted to Scrabble right now! I've heard of wurdle, of course, but not the others, so I find this list very exciting. I'm sure I'm going to get myself in a lot of trouble with these; I really don't need more excuses to be distracted!
Thanks, Blake!

wurdle was one of the first word games I bought and is still among my favorites. Lexic is similar and has more variations and I also enjoy this one very much. Moxie is also a lot of fun but I get frustrated when I screw up the "Q" opportunity so I end up quitting early sometimes. Thanks for the Word Chase recommendation - I'll get it today :)

Update: New word game W.E.L.D.E.R. = the bomb!!

Haven't heard of Lexic... I'm in need of a new game. I'll check it out.

If you're a Moxie fan, try Woffo. It adds vertical words and 8 different wild cards. Blows Moxie away.

The one that surprises me as not being on your list is Bookworm from Popcap. That game eats up tons of my time.

Check out WordSnake and Woffo, two excellent word games. Woffo is Moxie on steroids and WordSnake takes Scrabble to a whole new dimension.

If you like Scrabble, try Words with Friends. It's a lot like Scrabble, except it's free. You can invite friends to a game or choose a computer-selected player. Super fun! The only bummer is when your opponent doesn't take their turn for a while... which leads me to have multiple games going.

Hi, you might be interested in my own new word game, “Crosswords / Downwords”. It’s a little different… currently averaging 4.5 stars on the App Store. There is a fully-featured free Lite version with 48 puzzles or the Pro version with 600. Please… check it out at http://slyfox-productions.com/crosswords.html?appolicious

A great new word game just came out you should check out if you enjoy word games

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/letter-blocks-world-word-game/id387904242?mt=8

It is a great game for all "word lovers" out there, like myself. Kids would also enjoy it (5 screen scenarios/3 game modes) opt for a pretty universal playing experience, it's design seems quality - its a great challenge. At least I am totally addicted!

A great companion app to any of these is Words Winner. It lets you input your board and look for the best word possible given your rack and board layout. It goes way beyond a simple dictionary. Great for when you're stuck. http://wordswinner.com

If you like Scrabble, you should definitely check out Word Colors! I love this game! It's a different twist to the traditional word games, which makes it much more fun. Ever since I started playing, I find Scrabble and WWF boring to play on my iPhone and iPad.

Word games are awesome, but it gets even better when you add some numbers rounds into the mix. Check out the preview video of What it Takes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPucPMBTd0o&feature=plcp
