Enjoyable Non-Action RPG Games  by durgadas

durgadas says: I am making this list as a result of checking out many RPG games that I enjoyed, and I found that many of them weren't the traditional Action RPG in the style of Diablo that I enjoyed so much in the desktop world. These are a group of great (for different reasons) RPG games you are sure to like.
durgadas's picks
  1. Dragon's Lair
Dragon's Lair Hey, it's a classic. Technically, it's not an RPG at all, but is sooo close I had to include it.
  2. Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain
Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this roleplaying gamebook. Well-written and exciting, I make all the choices and eventually died more than a few times trying to find my way around. I was clued into the fun that could be had in this by my NEXT app.
  3. myQuest: Rise of the Hunter
myQuest: Rise of the Hunter I hadn't known about this type of game until I played myQuest. I found it interesting to walk around and in a little more helpful way than Zork (my previous text-based adventure experience) this game led me through until I beat the Big Boss at the end. A little like Dragon's Lair in that sense- there is a set end you must complete and how you get there is a little up to you.
  4. VANQUISH: The Oath of Brothers
VANQUISH: The Oath of Brothers It's a beautiful game that previously mentioned in my review of it, and the storytelling and gameplay lead you through to a more or less inevitable conclusion, but how you get there is so nicely art-directed you want to keep playing. This game makes you feel gradually more honorable and traditionally Japanese as you move along. Ambiance in an app is highly hard to achieve, yet this one does it.
  5. Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered
Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered This is another very interesting game that plays out differently than other games I've played. Incredibly cinematic in nature, it's a game where you have to puzzle out each scene and try to figure out how to progress through the game.

I know this page for a long time and I always follow all your news about various apps. Personally I have one dream: to find iPhone application with Jesse Jane! She is very a beautiful woman and I really love her. Just look at her, she is so talented. I have seen her movie about pirates and I really enjoyed it. I hope that someone will give some useful information about such app.
