Peak.ar I have to admit, while the Northwest is the place to play with this app I've not been able to verify the information it gives you. Why? Because here there's a billion hills and "mountains" around you and most of them you'd likely not know what they're called, even if you lived in the area forever. That said, it's still amazing to see it pointing out the hills and mountains around you and frankly I'd guess they're correct or they're at least making up some good names!

Hi Jessica,
Found your list and just wanted to mention the free Peterson Feeder Birds of North America app. I know you reviewed it previously along with iBird Explorer Lite, but you didn't mention that Peterson Feeder Birds has 160+ species, with massive amounts of detail. It's a fully-fledged backyard birds app, as opposed to a lite version of a paid app.
I understand that iBird users are very loyal — I used to be in charge of iBird marketing so I see it as a compliment :) But Peterson Feeder Birds is definitely worth a second look.
Full disclosure, my company develops the Peterson Birds and Peterson Feeder Birds apps.
All the best,
Nigel
